“Human Trafficking Hides in Plain Sight; Can you see it?”, ΠΚ – 13 Μαΐου 2025

Η εκδήλωση συνδιοργανώθηκε από τον οργανισμό Caritas Cyprus και την Έδρα UNESCO για Έμφυλη Ισότητα στο ΠΚ στα πλαίσια ευρωπαϊκά χρηματοδοτούμενου έργου United Action Against Human Trafficking και πραγματοποιήθηκε στα αγγλικά. Ακολουθεί η πρόσκληση.

This event is organized by CARITAS and the UNESCO Chair on Gender Equality. It will explore the realities and dynamics of trafficking and focus specifically on Cyprus.

🇪🇺 The United Action Against Human Trafficking Project is funded by the European Union under the Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community and implemented by the Refugee Rights Association and Caritas Cyprus.

📢 Capacity Building Training Sessions for Educators and School Administrators

We are pleased to host a series of specialized training sessions aimed at raising awareness and enhancing the capacity of educators and school leaders in the fight against human trafficking.

These sessions are designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to identify, prevent, and respond to potential trafficking risks within school environments.

🧠 Training Objectives Include:

• Recognizing key signs and indicators of human trafficking among children and youth
• Understanding the forms of exploitation occurring in Cyprus
• Exploring support systems and referral mechanisms for at-risk students
• Learning how and where to report suspected trafficking cases
• Understanding legal protections and responsibilities in the education sector
• Promoting safe, informed school communities through prevention and advocacy

👥 Who should attend: All educators, school administrators, counselors, and staff committed to safeguarding students and promoting child protection.
