The Data Management Systems Laboratory (DMSL), https://dmsl.cs.ucy.ac.cy/ focuses on research in data management, data engineering systems and knowledge discovery solutions for emerging networks and systems. The laboratory has expertise in a wide range of data management domains, namely: SQL/NoSQL/NewSQL databases and data stores, mobile, network and web 2.0 data management, geographic indoor data, crowd data, social data, data privacy, linked and open data. Recently, it engages in research related to Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI using the ChatUCY platform (https://chatucy.cs.ucy.ac.cy). The laboratory provides a dynamic environment for training students and researchers in cutting-edge technologies, supporting thesis projects, internships, interdisciplinary collaborations and organizing international summer schools on AI and Data Management (https://dmai.cs.ucy.ac.cy). Its mission is to bridge the gap between theory and practice in data management, enabling real-world impact through research, innovation, and education.
