Dr Miltiadis Polidorou holds a BSc in Geology and Geoenvironment from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. He completed his PhD in Coastal Geomorphology and Geoarchaeology at the same institution. His research focus on sea level fluctuations during the Holocene, with the use of geomorphological, archaeological and biological indicators. Also, he specializes in coastal palaeo-landscape and palaeoenvironmental reconstruction through the analysis of coastal geomorphological landforms and features (dunes, beachrocks, lagoons etc), Dr Polidorou has participated in various research projects related to Geology, Quaternary geology, Coastal geomorphology and Geoarchaeology and he has established collaborations with international Universities like Southampton University, Leicester University, New York University and University of Cyprus. Dr Polidorou has publish several scientific papers in high impact scientific journals regarding his work in the field of coastal geomorphology, geoarchaeology and climatic change and natural hazards (Orcid : https://orcid.org/0000-0001- 9841-8023) and he is currently gust editor at the Special Issue "Coastal Systems: Monitoring, Protection and Adaptation Approaches" of the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/jmse/special_issues/coastal_systems_monitoring ). Dr Polidorou is also a reviewer for peer-reviewed international journals (MDPI Journals). Dr Polidorou, is a member of the International Association of Geomorphology, Geological association of Greece and Cyprus.
