A two-year research project (2025-2027) entitled Legacy data into the spotlight from endangered sites in Cyprus (LeDaCy) funded by the Federal Office of Culture, Swiss Confederation will complement the Ledra research project by focusing on the study and digitisation of material assemblages from the cult-site Kafizin, from burial-sites found in the occupied area of Nicosia district (such as Gerolakkos) together with tomb-groups located within the modern built capital, which have not been preserved due to urban development.
This project is being carried out at the Archaeological Research Unit, under the coordination of Dr Anna Georgiadou, and in collaboration with the Department of Antiquities, Curator Ms Eftychia Zachariou and Dr Despina Pilides.
