Sampling, weighting, and estimation in survey methodology

The University Center for Field Studies (UCFS) of University of Cyprus in collaboration with the European Social Survey (ESS) are organizing an ESS-SUSTAIN-2 Sampling Training course.

The course will address critical issues related to Sampling, Weighting, and Estimation in survey methodology.  The training is designed for academics and students who wish to improve their skills in survey research design, administration and analysis.  The course will be delivered online on the 29th and30th of September 2022Zoom Links bellow.

Instructors:

Piotr Jabkowski, Faculty of Sociology, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland

He is an associate professor at the Faculty of Sociology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and a member of the Sampling and Weighting Experts Panel in the European Social Survey for rounds 10 and 11. His research focuses on the methodology of cross-country comparative surveys, the total survey error paradigm, and sampling theory.

Piotr Cichocki, Faculty of Sociology, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland

He is a researcher at the Faculty of Sociology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. His research interest includes monitoring social and political attitudes by cross-country surveys, attitudes toward European integration, and research on European Identity.
