ProTeAS is a research project that uses LR1 amphorae as a vehicle to address fundamental issues in pottery studies and ancient technology. The project primarily aims at the detailed determination of the taxonomic attributes of the Cypriot LR1 amphorae, including their compositional and technological characterisation.

ProTeAS is funded by the A. G. Leventis Foundation Programmes, at the University of Cyprus.
