
NetMAR Fringe Event: Leeds International Medieval Congress

June 25, 2021Join on Thursday 8 July 2021 our associate NetMAR members at the International Medieval Congress hosted by the University of Leeds, that will present the network and talk about the meaning, value, and challenges of heritage. This lunchtime event (1-2pm UK time) will take place as part of IMC 2021 Fringe Events. The panel discussion is organised by NetMAR Project Coordinator, Dr Stavroula Constantinou of the Centre for Medieval Arts & Rituals at the University of Cyprus and will feature also Prof. Ingrid Bennewitz (Bamberg), Dr Detlef Goller (Bamberg), Dr Nils Holger Petersen (Southern Denmark), Dr Rosa Rodriguez Porto (Southern Denmark), and Dr Christos Hadjiyiannis (UCY). The purpose of this event is to present to the large community of medievalists a new project entitled ‘Network for Medieval Arts & Rituals’ (NetMAR) that has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 951875. NetMAR is a cross-disciplinary network dedicated to the study of medieval arts and rituals. The network brings together scholars, researchers, and students from different countries, institutions, and disciplines and reaches out to various stakeholders. The network is made up of three major partners: the University of Cyprus and its newly-created Centre for Medieval Arts & Rituals; the Centre for Medieval Literature at the University of Southern Denmark; and the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of Bamberg.
