A total budget of 240.000 euros will be addressed to sub-grant start-ups in the 6 countries. This total will be subdivided as follows:

– 40.000 Euros (per Country) will be addressed to the best 5 start-ups after the scouting and coaching procedures. In particular: 15.000 will award the first one, 10.000 the second and 5.000 to the other three. The total number of sub-grants will therefore be 30: partners can decide to subdivide the total available, if necessary, to a greater number of winners. In this case the number can rise up to 40-50.

Selection procedures will indicatively consist in:

– Feasibility check analysis

– SDGs indicators coherence degree. This will be the most challenging part of the selection criteria, as it will have to follow the Sustainable Development issues and principles. In this sense, the project will support all those entrepreneurial ideas able to accelerate structural transformations by addressing inequalities and exclusion, transitioning to zero-carbon development and building more effective governance that can respond to megatrends such as globalization, urbanization and technological and demographic changes.

– Additional selection criteria will follow EBN Quality Mark Criteria, i.e.: the innovation is applicable (proof of concept), the innovation is wealth generating (proof of business), the innovation is producible (proof of technology), the team is fitting the mission (teal appraisal). Start-ups, according to this criteria, will participate to a competition and selected by a local jury (made of experts, business angels, investors).

Subgrants will be managed by the due partner who will in charge of monitoring and have direct relations with the winning start-ups
