The Summer Academies for this year were completed with great success during the period June 30 – July 4, 2025, at the University of Cyprus, which have now been established as an institution. A total of 224 students from all over Cyprus participated, under the coordination of the Office of Studies and Student Welfare. The participants came into contact with a multitude of scientific fields that interested them, got to know the University of Cyprus up close, and got a first taste of student life. Students from other districts, outside Nicosia, were hosted in the Student Dormitories.
This year, the participants attended one of the following Academies:
• Academy of Medicine and Biosciences
• Academy of Engineering and Technology Applications
• Academy of Natural Sciences and Technology
• Academy of Social Sciences
• Academy of Economic Sciences and Management
The program included lectures, experiential workshops, experiments, discussions, tours, educational visits, use of the Sports Center, recreational activities, free time for socializing, etc. Primarily, high school and technical school students, as well as students who by the end of June 2025 had completed the third grade of Gymnasium, could participate in the Summer Academies.
