November 13, 2024We are now seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a full-time Special Scientist position (Research Fellow) in our ERC Starting Grant project “Group Minds in Ancient Narrative”. This position offers the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment alongside Assistant Professor Dr. Chrysanthos S. Chrysanthou and a team of passionate classicists.
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Classics and demonstrate a strong commitment to innovative research. While a background in cognitive classics, narratology, and literary theory is advantageous, emphasis will be placed on scientific excellence and the ability to contribute effectively to the project. As a member of our team, you will explore group minds and collective cognitive phenomena in ancient philosophical thought or their representation in ancient Greek and/or Latin Literature. Comparative projects involving both Greek and Latin Literature or philosophical traditions are also encouraged.
