Presentation of GROUPMINDS research project
January 7, 2025Invited Speaker: Professor Douglas Cairns, University of Edinburgh
February 17, 2025We are pleased to announce the successful presentation of our ERC-funded project, GROUP MINDS IN ANCIENT NARRATIVE, hosted by the A. G. Leventis Scholars Association (Cyprus) and the Department of Classics and Philosophy of the University of Cyprus on Tuesday, 28th January 2025 at the A. G. Leventis Gallery. The event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our latest research findings and engage with scholars and members of the public who shared a keen interest in classical studies.
The evening featured a presentation by the principal investigator, Dr. Chrysanthos S. Chrysanthou, and the members of the research team, each offering an overview of their unique field of study and how their work contributes to the overarching theme of Group Minds in ancient narrative. The
presence of an enthusiastic audience was truly inspiring, and their engagement fostered a productive dialogue.
Following the presentations, discussions continued over cheese and wine, allowing for a stimulating exchange of ideas and perspectives in a more informal setting. We are grateful to all attendees for their insightful questions and feedback, which will undoubtedly enrich our ongoing research. We extend our sincere thanks to the organizers, A. G. Leventis Scholars Association (Cyprus) and the Department of Classics and Philosophy of the University of Cyprus, and to all who joined us for this memorable evening. For those who were unable to attend, videos capturing all presentations will soon be available. Additionally, photos from the event are available for viewing here.
A heartfelt thank you to the A. G. Leventis Foundation for their invaluable support, enabling us to connect with the public and share our research in such an inspiring setting.
