Summer Intensive Programme 2025*
Courses: 30 June 2025 – 8 August 2025 (150 teaching hours in total)
Placement tests for levels A2-C2 will be held in person (or online) in the second week of May.
The final exams will take place only in person the week after the end of the course.
> 5 times per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 09:00-14:00 (5 hours with a break)

4. Pay the tuition fee by 10 May: 400 euros (compulsory for all, non-refundable. Relevant information about the payment will be sent by email after the registration deadline closes). Information for scholarships: HERE
Note: Attendance is compulsory. Students with more than 4 absences will not be allowed to participate in the final exams and will not receive a certificate of attendance. For online courses, it is compulsory to be connected via a computer (not a mobile phone) and to actively participate with the camera and microphone switched on throughout the course.
* A class will take place only if the required number of enrolled candidates who have paid the registration and tuition fees is reached (15-22 people). Priority will be given to individuals who have successfully completed the enrollment process and have paid their registration and tuition fees in full. The selection will be made on a first paid, first served basis.
Winter Intensive Programme 2025*

Courses: 8 September 2025 – 5 December 2025 (156 teaching hours in total)

SMG RULES – Please note that the SMG reserves the right to unilaterally modify any of the above rules at any time and to notify candidates in writing and in a timely manner.
You may obtain the Greek Proficiency Certification at levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 or C2 after attending Greek language courses at the School of Modern Greek of the University of Cyprus.
Government authorities of the Republic of Cyprus, such as the Public Service Commission and the Educational Service Commission, include the B2 and C2 level certificates of the SMG among the acceptable evidence of knowledge of Greek (see here and here), while the Ministry of Interior accepts the A2 and B1 level certificates of the SMG as evidence of sufficient knowledge of the Greek language for the application for obtaining Cypriot citizenship by naturalization (see here).
