Prof. Dr Bettina Wagner, Director of the Bamberg State Library, and Alyssa Steiner (M.St. University of Bamberg) will give a joint paper entitled ‘Albrecht Pfister and the Earliest Printed Books in German from Bamberg’ on Tuesday, 2 November 2021, at 3:30 CET (online). The paper will focus on the first Bamberg book printer, Albrecht Pfister, and specifically on the extremely rare Pfister prints held in British and American libraries. The talk is part of a series of lectures (most of which are in German) that runs under under the title ‘Bamberg Book (Hi)Stories’, and which deals with Bamberg’s cultural book heritage.
