F9 Eleni Voutsa (UCY)

Eleni Voutsa is a doctoral candidate at the University of Cyprus, working under the supervision of Dionysios Stathakopoulos. She holds an MA in Classics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece). Her main research interests include ancient Greek, Latin, and Byzantine texts, with a particular focus on their transmission, reception and cultural contexts. She also has a strong interest in medical humanities. Her research project entitled ‘Pathography and Autopathography in the Later Byzantine World (11th-15th c.)’ focuses on how Byzantine authors narrated their experiences of illness and suffering and how these personal accounts were shaped by cultural, theological, and socio-political contexts.
