F13 Christopher Ian Lillington-Martin (CARDIFF UNI)

Christopher Lillington-Martin, an Anglo-Spanish scholar, is a doctoral candidate at Cardiff University (UK), working under the supervision of Laurence Totelin. He holds an MSt. in Late Antique Studies (University of Oxford, UK). His main research interests include ancient Greek literature and archaeology (e.g. Dara, Turkey). His research, as a collaborator in Classical Philology (University of Barcelona, Spain), explored Procopius the Caesarean, sixth-century Roman conflicts, gender politics, and classicism. He has published extensively, co-editing Procopius of Caesarea (Routledge). He participates in conferences and peer review. His research project, entitled ‘Literature as Pharmakon: A Narratological Approach to Medical Writings’, focuses on exploring storytelling’s role in health and cultural memory. His interdisciplinary approach connects literary and archaeological insights to advance understanding of the past.
