Development of Photovoltaic Park “Apollon” – Phase A

Το έργο υλοποιείται στο πλαίσιο του Προγράμματος Πολιτικής Συνοχής «ΘΑλΕΙΑ 2021-2027» με τη συγχρηματοδότηση της ΕΕ.

The first phase of Photovoltaic Park “Apollon” includes the installation of photovoltaic systems of 5 MWp power, as well as an energy storage system of 2,35 MWh capacity. The project is part of the strategic planning for the transformation of the Campus into a green and smart Campus and is expected to generate 8,4 GWh of clean energy, which corresponds to 50% of the current electricity demand of the Campus. The installation of the energy storage system would be the first large scale installation of such a system in Cyprus and would be the backbone of the future energy management system of the Campus. It will contribute to the electrification and decarbonization of the Campus energy systems.
