The Research Center of the Greek and Latin Secretariat of the Academy of Athens invites you to the 6th lecture of the second cycle of LOGO-DIMIAS, a monthly series of lectures on topics that highlight the “synchronicity” and timelessness of ancient civilization.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 6-8 pm, and hosts announcements by Emeritus Professor Katerina Synodinou (University of Ioannina) and Associate Professor Stavroula Constantinou (University of Cyprus). The general title of the lecture series is “Women in Ancient Literature and Culture”.
The event, one day after the International Women’s Day (March 8), is dedicated to women around the world, who fight for what some consider “self-evident” or “unnecessary”. The event will be honored by the presence and address of the world-renowned biopathologist-hygienist, Professor and academic Antonia Trichopoulou, and the well-known and beloved actress Carmen Rouggeri.
