Η ΕΜοΜεΤ ανακοινώνει τη νέα δημοσίευση από τις Σταυρούλα Κωνσταντίνου και Ασπασία Σκουρουμούνη-Σταυρινού. Το άρθρο “The Other Mother: Ancient and Early Byzantine Approaches to Wet-Nursing and Mothering”, διαθέσιμο σε ανοικτή πρόσβαση από το Journal of Hellenic Studies, που δημοσιεύεται ηλεκτρονικά από το Cambridge University Press (https://doi.org/10.1017/S0075426924000053), πραγματεύεται τις πρακτικές της μητρότητας από την ύστερη αρχαιότητα μέχρι την πρώιμη βυζαντινή περίοδο. Εστιάζοντας στη φιγούρα της τροφού, που μέχρι τώρα δεν έχει μελετηθεί επαρκώς, η μελέτη φέρνει στο φως τις διάφορες αφηγήσεις που όριζαν, οριοθετούσαν και ρύθμιζαν τη συμπεριφορά και την εργασία των τροφών στις προ-μοντέρνες κοινωνίες.
