The Michalis Pieris Cultural Centre is an autonomous institutional entity of the University of Cyprus. It is subordinate to the University’s Rectorate, Senate and Council, while it collaborates closely with all the Faculties and Departments of the country’s higher education institution.
It is governed by a ten-member Administrative Board, whose composition, according to the Cultural Centre’s Operating Regulations, is as follows:
- Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs (Chair)
- Director of the Cultural Centre
- Artistic Director of the Cultural Centre
- Three members of the academic staff of the University
- Two distinguished personalities from the sphere of literature and the arts
- Member of the administrative staff (or academic staff)
- Representative of the Theatrical Workshop of the University of Cyprus (THEPAK)

- Stamatia Laoumtzi, Artistic Director of the Cultural Centre
- Professor Julia Chatzipanagioti – Sangmeister, Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies
- Associate Professor Michalis Olympios, Department of History and Archaeology
- Assistant Professor Konstantinos Kritsis, Department of English Studies
- Marios Takousiis, composer and musician
- Georgios Koukoumas, director and lighting designer
- Fanos Christofides, Information Applications Service Officer
- Michalis Michael, representative of THEPAK
