Research at Itskos Group focuses on the photophysics of materials with emphasis on semiconductor nanomaterials. Central to the work is the implementation of spectroscopic and microscopy techniques to probe the electronic and defect structure of the studied materials and assess their potential for optoelectonic and photonic applications. The work is performed at the Experimental Condensed Matter Physics (ECMP) Lab at the Physics Department of the University of Cyprus.
