March 23, 2026A public consultation on the One-Way Street Plan for the Neapolis area was held at the Municipal Cultural Centre “Panos Solomonides” in Limassol.
The consultation was coordinated by Associate Professor Loukas Dimitriou from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the School of Engineering, together with Dr. Apostolos Michopoulos and Dr. Grigoris Kalnis, in the presence of the Mayor and officials of the Limassol Municipality.
Neapolis is one of the first areas to benefit from an extensive pilot one-way street program, aiming not only to regulate traffic but also to achieve a broader upgrade of the area:
Strengthening sustainable urban mobility
Promoting micromobility and walking
Improving accessibility
Enhancing the environment, microclimate, and urban aesthetics with more green spaces
Through a coherent transport redesign, the vision of a more functional and sustainable city is being shaped.
