March 13, 2025The GrECI consortium is delighted to invite papers for the project’s concluding conference, which will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus, on 22-24 October 2025.

Topics on book history and Greek (production, circulation), the role of ancient Greek in vernacular cultures, the use of Greek in religious controversies, or engagement with the material culture of ancient Greece are welcome as well as proposals on topics such as the use of Greek in the early modern classroom, early modern women’s engagement with Greek culture, Greek and the study of law, and Catholic vs. Protestant receptions of Greek.
We are interested, lastly, in papers that consider developments in research in the last five years, as well as papers that showcase diverse approaches and methods, including the use of digital humanities tools.
We will be happy to accept abstracts for 25min presentations (max. 250 words – including presenter’s name and affiliation) by the 1st of April, 2025. Some funds for travel and accommodation will be made available for the participants.
