Christos Hadjiyiannis is Research Fellow at the Centre for Medieval Arts & Rituals (CeMAR) of the University of Cyprus and Scientific Project Manager of NetMAR. He teaches in the Department of English Studies of the University of Cyprus. He was previously Fulbright Visiting Scholar at The University of Texas at Austin; Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of English Studies at the University of Cyprus; and Research Fellow in English Literature at Wolfson College, Oxford. He has written widely on modernist literature and art and is the author of Conservative Modernists: Literature and Tory Politics in Britain, 1900-1920 (Cambridge University Press, 2018). He is the editor, with Rachel Potter, of The Cambridge Companion to Twentieth-Century Literature & Politics (forthcoming 2022). His current project, housed at CeMAR, investigates sacrifice in modern literature and art. He serves as Chair of International Relations on the Board of Trustees of the Modernist Studies Association (elected August 2021).
