The purpose of the Distance Learning Support Office is to support the pedagogical and technological training of academic staff in relation to teaching through technological education systems, in collaboration with experts and the IT Infrastructure and Information Applications Services.
Key responsibilities/activities of the Distance Learning Support Office include:
- Planning and organizing training seminars for academic staff members
- Ensuring the continuous development of the pedagogical skills of staff through support and training (suggestions, clarifications, guidance, problem solving)
- Developing manuals for the pedagogical implementation of distance learning tools in cooperation with experts and administrative services
- Monitoring developments in the technological environment and making proposals to strengthen pedagogy with new tools and methodologies for teaching, continuous assessment, interaction and monitoring of students’ progress
- Collaboration with the IT Infrastructure and Information Applications Services to enhance distance and/or hybrid teaching tools and the development of learning materials.
- Support the digitisation of texts/required literature in cooperation with the library
