The purpose of the Evaluation and Accreditation Office is to coordinate, organize, guide and support the university community in the successful completion of external assessment and accreditation processes for:
- the programmes of study (conventional/hybrid/distance/micro-credentials/Erasmus+)
- the departments/Medical School and
- the University of Cyprus by the CYQAA or another EQAR member body.
The main tasks of the Evaluation and Accreditation Office are related to:
- Monitoring the re-evaluation cycle and taking actions to initiate the procedures for timely submission of applications.
- Gathering information/data for Institutional, Departmental and Programmatic evaluations; preparing application materials
- Preparation of the UCY’s evaluation report
- Preparation of internal report on the self-evaluation of the UCY
- Informing Departments/Medical School about the start of the external evaluation process with the relevant forms and information/attachments and guiding them in the preparation of applications
- Quality control of applications, submission of recommendations, feedback and completion of application
- Submission of the application to the CYQAA and scheduling of the on-site evaluation
- Organisation and coordination of the on-site visit process for each procedure
- Completion of processes for certification
- Communication and cooperation with the CYQAA
