The mission of the Research Support Service is to contribute to the promotion and development of research and innovation at the University of Cyprus by attracting external funding, optimally allocating internal research and innovation funding, managing research projects and exploiting research results. The main activities of the Research Support Service are:
- support to the academic community to identify research funding opportunities and to prepare and submit funding proposal
- financial management of funded research projects with a view to their successful completion and maximum budget utilisation
- optimal allocation of internal research and innovation funds to the members of the academic community through the design and implementation of competitive processes and programmes
- exploitation of research results through know-how transfer and innovation management activities
