May 20, 2025From 14 to 16 May 2025, the SInnoPSis group had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Levent Neyse from the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. His recent work focuses on meta-scientific topics such as measurement, replicability, and research transparency in the social sciences. Dr. Neyse leads the SOEP Innovation Sample (SOEP-IS) at DIW Berlin and co-directs Lab², a meta-research lab based at WZB.
During his visit, Dr. Neyse gave a seminar titled “Replicability in Economics Research” on Friday, 16 May, in the Economics Department Seminar Room (Room 114). In the talk, he shared reflections on the replication crisis in economics, recent progress around transparency and open science, and the potential of the SOEP-IS data infrastructure to support experimental and survey-based research. Dr. Neyse also met with members of the SInnoPSis group and other researchers at the University of Cyprus. Conversations covered a range of topics and possible areas for future collaboration, especially in the field of meta-research and behavioral economics.
We thank Dr. Neyse for his visit and look forward to continuing the conversation.
