The Department of Business and Public Administration (BPA) offers the course in Entrepreneurship and Innovation to students of the University of Cyprus, while members of the academic and teaching staff are selected as mentors and/or trainers in entrepreneurship programs both in and outside Cyprus.
Within this framework, student teams from various departments, such as Business and Public Administration, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Computer Science, are trained in:
- Developing innovative ideas/solutions (products/services) that particularly address societal and environmental challenges
- Creating business models
- Designing business plans
- Pitching
- Securing funding for the establishment of startups based on the team’s business idea, and
- Developing a growth strategy for the company (scaleup)
With these skills, knowledge, and tools, they have the opportunity to participate voluntarily in entrepreneurship events and competitions, both in Cyprus and abroad, where they have distinguished themselves with the following achievements:
