Achievements in Entrepreneurship
The Department Business and Public Administration offers the course of Entrepreneurship and Innovation to students of the University of Cyprus, while members of the academic and teaching staff are selected as mentors and/or trainers in entrepreneurship programs in Cyprus and abroad.
In this context, groups of students from various departments such as Business and Public Administration, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science, are educated/trained in:
- creating innovative ideas/solutions (products/services) that are particularly relevant to problems that afflict society and the environment,
- developing of business models
- designing a business plan
- pitching
- seeking funding for establishing a startup, and
- strategizing the development of the company (scaleup)
With this knowledge, skills and tools, they have the ability to voluntarily participate in entrepreneurship events and competitions, in Cyprus and abroad, where they acquired the following achievements/awards:
