Inauguration of the Faculty of Engineering Facilities By the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides

The University of Cyprus inaugurates the state-of-the-art building facilities of its Faculty of Engineering an iconic landmark that redefines the skyline of the University Campus and emerges as a hub of innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and academic excellence. The new facilities offer students and researchers a modern environment for learning, research, and innovation.

The inauguration ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, at 5:30 p.m., and will be officiated by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides. Addresses will be delivered by the Rector of the University of Cyprus, Professor Tasos Christofides, and the Chairman of the University Council, Mr. Tasos S. Anastasiou. Following the ceremony, guests will be invited to a guided tour of the Faculty of Engineering premises, designed according to the principles of sustainable development and energy efficiency — a testament to the University of Cyprus’s continued commitment to environmental responsibility.

The inauguration of the new facilities marks a significant milestone in the development trajectory of the University of Cyprus.
