The international congress titled “Turkish Language as a Balkanic and Mediterranean Communication Bridge,” jointly organized by the Turkish Department of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Tirana and the Department of Turkish and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cyprus, will be held on 8-9 November 2024, both in person and remotely. Participants attending the congress in person in Tirana, Albania, are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Academicians and researchers working in the relevant fields are invited to submit an abstract of the paper they wish to present to [email protected] or [email protected] by 2 November 2024. Feedback on accepted papers will be provided by 3 November 2024. Participation in the congress is free of charge, and our primary objective is to illuminate the influence of the Turkish language and culture in the Balkans and the Mediterranean region across various fields from the past to the present. Additionally, we aim to foster the exchange of ideas for future studies in this area and lay the groundwork for potential collaborative projects.

Participation in the Congress may be conducted either in person or online.
