The ANCHOR project examined the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-based personalized treatment plans for college students with anxiety problems through Idionomic Network Modelling and thematic analysis of therapy sessions utilizing the Process- Based Therapy (PBT) network approach to case conceptualization and treatment. This project combined advanced statistical analyses (e.g., structural equation modelling, network modelling, machine learning algorithms) and qualitative methods to intensively and longitudinally assess processes of change relative to clinical outcomes for anxiety problems, following a Single-Case Nonconcurrent Multiple Baseline Design. Results suggest an
increase in Psychological Flexibility at the three-month follow-up assessment and a general decrease in anxiety. Qualitative analyses indicate participants’ progress, accomplishment of therapy goals and satisfaction with the intervention. In general, study results provide evidence for the use of personalized treatment plans for young adults with anxiety difficulties.
