1. Enrollment Guidelines
A student is considered full-time in a given semester if the total workload is 27–30 ECTS, in alignment with University regulations.
Students may register:
- for up to 38 ECTS per semester;
- for up to 42 ECTS, but only after the second year and only if repeating two previously attended courses;
- for up to 42 ECTS if enrolled in a minor program of study.
Approval is required for the following cases:
- Requests for a workload of up to 42 ECTS
The Department Chair, at their discretion, may approve up to 42 ECTS provided that:
- The number of courses does not exceed six;
- The student can graduate with these credits in the semester for which they are requested.
- Requests for a workload of more than 42 ECTS
The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs may approve up to 45 ECTS upon a documented written positive recommendation by the Department Chair. Requests exceeding 45 ECTS require Senate approval.
2. Repeating Courses
Students are not permitted to repeat courses to improve their grades.
3. Prerequisite Requirements
- Students must obtain a minimum grade of 4/10 to advance in prerequisite course sequences, including Microeconomics (OIK111, OIK211, OIK251/261), Macroeconomics (OIK121, OIK221, OIK252/262), Econometrics (MAS061, OIK112, OIK222, OIK253/263), and Mathematics for Economists (MAS001, ECO113, ECO223).
- Registration in restrictive elective courses including the capstone thesis courses (ECO397 and ECO497) requires prior completion of certain prerequisites as specified in the Undergraduate Study Guide.
4. Time Conflicts
Students may request approval for time-conflicted courses under the following conditions:
- The time conflict is 15 minutes or less.
- The overlapping sessions are lectures repeated multiple times during the week.
Final approval lies with the course instructor.
5. Concentration Declaration
Students must declare their chosen concentration by the end of their 3rd semester:
