International Conference “Adverbs and Adverbials: Issues in semantic and functional ambiguity”

The Department of French and European Studies of the University of Cyprus, the open and interdisciplinary Méthodal OpenLab, the University of Sorbonne and the Center for Linguistic Studies – Corpus, Discours et Sociétés of the University of Lyon co-organized with great success an international conference, entitled “Adverbes et adverbiaux : questions d’ambiguïté sémantique et fonctionnelle » (Adverbs and Adverbials: Issues in semantic and functional ambiguity), which took place on 18 and 19 May 2023.
The conference was held at the University of Cyprus, with simultaneous live and remote participation.
The main topic was the problems posed by the semantic and functional ambiguity of adverbial elements, allowing the participants to discuss, exchange opinions and concerns around the specific topic.
The participants came from many universities abroad, specifically from countries such as France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Canada, Brazil, etc.
