November 19, 2021From the 5th to the 11th October 2021, and for yet another year, Dr. Pavlos I. Koktsidis has successfully organized and delivered a week-long educational programme on Peace and Conflict Studies to 18 US students and three members of staff from the Department of Political Science of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Among several activities, the programme included a day-long academic workshop on the Cyprus Conflict at UCY, a series of daily lectures with experts, and numerous guided visits at conflict-related sites across Cyprus (Buffer Zone, Famagusta, Nicosia, British Sovereign Bases, Museums and more). Following its completion, we would like to thank all registered students for their enthusiastic participation and immense interest during the programme and express our thankfulness to our dearest VT colleagues Prof. Yiannis Stivachtis and Prof. Scott Nelson for their contribution and trust.
