Experiential visit with virtual reality programs and simulation games to the Cyprus Planetarium “Tamasou and Orinis” organized by the Office of University Development and Alumni, exclusively for the graduates of the University of Cyprus and their families.
The action program includes:
- Sun observation in the Planetarium’s helioscope/observatory with multimedia systems for stargazing and uranography with astronomer guidance/briefing, for adults & children (free, 20 minutes).
- Screening in the dome + with lecture for adults (free, 45 minutes long).
- Projection in the dome + with lecture for children (free, 45 minutes long).
- Simulation experience (VR 360) of space travel and exploration for children (€5 – 5 minutes). It is noted that in order to participate in the latter, those interested should, during their online reservation/registration for participation in the action, and specifically in the “Comments” section, declare their interest separately, stating the number of children. The payment of the participation fee by the person concerned should be made on the day of the excursion at the Planetarium box office.
- Meeting at the cafeteria of the Planetarium for discussion with coffee/juice etc.
After the action, the members of the UCY ALUMNI COMMUNITY will also have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs available for sale in the Planetarium.
