Workshops are being organised during the project to transfer knowledge from the advanced partners to UCY researchers. The workshops target the main components corresponding to BRAINN’s objectives, i.e., cognitive assessment tools (digitalised and traditional), neuroimaging, neuromodulation, neurophysiological, and cognitive rehabilitation protocols. Workshops are also being conducted for transferring partners’ expertise on research and innovation, grant writing, and project management.
The first workshop took place on 05-07 July 2023 in Maastricht University, where all partners joined to receive hands-on training on conducting neuromodulation paradigms with different non-invasive brain stimulation modalities. During this visit, UCY shared its expertise in neurorehabilitation with demonstrations of the Categorization Program.
The second workshop took place on 17-21 March 2025 in King’s College London (KCL), where the research team of BRAINN joined to receive hands-on training on analysing data recorded with state-of-the-art protocols in magnetic resonance imaging. During this visit, experts from KCL presented the latest advances in analysing structural and functional MRI data. The MRI data were recorded by the UCY team using the harmonised acquisition protocol of KCL for the feasibility study in Cyprus.
