Participation of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs in the panel of the Kick-Off Meeting for the Action “Supporting Evidence-Informed Policymaking for the Twin Transition”

The Kick-Off Meeting for the Action “Supporting Evidence-Informed Policymaking for the Twin Transition” took place on 24 February 2026 at the Presidential Palace. The event was organised by the European Commission – Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus – Secretariat for the Coordination and Support of the Government Program (SCSGP), with the support of the competent ministries and stakeholders.

Within the framework of the event, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University of Cyprus, Professor Tatiana-Eleni Synodinou, participated in the panel discussion entitled “Science for Policy: Insights and Challenges”, contributing to the dialogue on the use of scientific evidence in the development of public policies and on strengthening cooperation between the scientific community and decision-making bodies, with an emphasis on the twin green and digital transition.
