February 3, 2022Associate Professor of the Law Department Aristoteles Constantinides has been invited to participate in the first parliamentary discussion of euthanasia that will take place before the Parliamentary Committee of Human Rights of the House of Representatives on Monday 24 January 2022. The subject of discussion, which was registered upon the initiative of six members of parliament from different parties, is ‘Euthanasia: The need for information and social dialogue in Cyprus’. It is also noted that Professor Constantinides, who served as member of the Cyprus National Bioethics Committee (2011-2015) and is currently member of the Scientific Committee of the Cyprus Federation of Patients Associations, has undertaken to draft the National Report of Cyprus on ‘The law and bioethics of end of life decisions’ for the bi-annual Congress of the International Academy of Comparative Law.
