Microcredentials
In today’s dynamic business environment, continuous learning and specialized knowledge are essential for professional development and enhancing the competitiveness of both personnel and organizations. The MBA Program of the University of Cyprus, recognizing this need, offers a series of Microcredentials that provide targeted and flexible learning in key areas of Business Administration.
Through a combination of courses, each Microcredential covers specialized subject areas tailored to the professional development needs.
The MBA Program has developed six (6) thematic areas of Microcredentials, offering participants the opportunity to choose those that best align with their professional goals.
Each Microcredential consists of at least two courses. All courses are held once a week, in the evening hours, from 18:00 to 21:30. The period during which the courses are delivered, as stated below, is indicative and may be subject to change. These are as follows:
Thematic Areas
Accounting for Business Decisions
Provides essential knowledge on the preparation and usefulness of accounting information for financial decision-making by both internal and external users.
Business Analytics
Recognizes the importance of technology in modern organizations at both operational and strategic levels, with a focus on security and ethics issues. Provides specialized knowledge and aids in acquiring essential skills for business data analysis, including data collection, cleaning, management, and integrity. Emphasis is placed on selecting suitable statistical methods and analytical tools to support business decision-making.

Provides specialized knowledge and essential skills for resource management, focusing on developing investment strategies, risk management, and client relationship development.
Leadership & Management
This program is designed to prepare individuals to lead organizations effectively, enhancing efficiency through a positive work environment. Participants will develop skills to handle crises, changes, and uncertainty effectively, and understand the importance of diversity, emotional intelligence, and creativity in leadership.

Creating Business Value
The micro-credential on Creating Business Value equips participants with the knowledge and insights to enhance value in established organizations and to generate value in new ventures. The program emphasizes how to recognize and assess market opportunities, develop and evaluate innovative business ideas, and design robust business models and plans. Participants will gain practical skills in securing financing, building effective marketing strategies to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty, and embedding innovation into sustainable growth. They will also strengthen their strategic judgment and risk assessment capabilities, enabling them to craft and implement strategies that achieve long-term competitive advantage.
Personal Growth and Professional Development
The modern executive must go beyond technical knowledge and industry expertise to succeed in today’s complex business environment. This micro-credential equips aspiring managers with essential soft skills that strengthen their ability to lead, adapt, and create positive impact. Participants will learn how to negotiate effectively, manage crises with confidence, and develop emotional intelligence to better understand and guide themselves and others. They will gain the tools to foster inclusion and manage diversity in the workplace, as well as the creative mindset needed to generate and implement innovative ideas. Together, these competencies prepare managers not only to navigate challenges but also to build resilient, flexible, innovative, socially responsible, and forward-looking organizations.

Participants in the courses included in the Microcredentials of their choice, will attend the lectures of the corresponding courses, alongside University of Cyprus students, and will fully participate in all forms of assessment, in accordance with the requirements of each course.
Upon successful completion of the courses that comprise each Microcredential, participants will receive a Certificate in the respective subject area, officially issued by the University of Cyprus. In the event of future enrolment in the full MBA Program, the corresponding ECTS credits earned from the successfully completed courses, will be transferred to the Certificate holder.
