The MBA Program of the University of Cyprus, in line with its commitment to social responsibility, offers scholarships to qualified applicants. Scholarships are awarded competitively based on (a) candidates’ credentials, including academic performance, professional experience, and potential contribution to the program, (b) socio-economic status and financial need, and (c) academic excellence. Scholarships are granted in the form of substantial tuition waivers, the continuation of which throughout the duration of studies is subject to specific terms and conditions. In addition, the UCY MBA Program’s network of partners — comprising firms and organizations in Cyprus and abroad — offers grants and awards that recognize students’ academic achievement, dedication, and professional ethos. Building on this tradition of support and reinforcing its commitment to expanding access to high-quality business education, the UCY MBA Program continues to strengthen and diversify its scholarship portfolio.

Since 2023, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder and owner of the easy family of brands and founder and president of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, has established a scholarship program for students entering the UCY MBA Program. This initiative represents a significant recognition of the Program’s quality, reputation, and contribution to business education in Cyprus. The introduction of scholarships by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation to the University of Cyprus — and specifically to the MBA Program — marks an important milestone, as the University of Cyprus became the first academic institution to receive such support from the Foundation without a direct alumni connection to its founder. Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou’s commitment to supporting talented and ambitious individuals reflects the Foundation’s dedication to education and further reinforces the University of Cyprus’s standing as an institution of academic excellence. Scholarships offered through the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation are awarded to applicants admitted to the Program based on academic merit and socio-economic criteria.

Further strengthening this ecosystem of excellence, the UCY MBA Program announced the introduction of a scholarship offered by Petrolina for the academic year 2025–2026. Building on this initiative, Petrolina has also decided to offer an additional scholarship for the academic year 2026–2027, reaffirming its longstanding support for the next generation of professionals. This contribution aligns closely with the Program’s philosophy of promoting academic excellence, leadership potential, and social responsibility. The Petrolina Scholarship is awarded to outstanding candidates admitted to the Program, with emphasis on academic achievement, professional potential, and interest in fields such as energy, sustainability, and innovation. In line with the Program’s existing scholarship framework, socio-economic criteria are also taken into consideration. The scholarship is granted in the form of a tuition fee waiver and remains subject to academic performance and the Program’s terms and conditions
