As part of our new series of language programmes for communication, we are launching the online Turkish for Communication course in the Winter Semester of 2025!

Online Turkish Lessons for Communication – Level A1

Tuition Fee: €280, including learning material. Tuition fees are to be paid online on the first day of class, after you receive confirmation via email from the Language Centre that you have secured a place in the course.

The course “Turkish for Communication” is open to the general public and is designed specifically for those who wish to acquire basic skills in the Turkish language, with an emphasis on everyday communication. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants will become familiar with essential vocabulary, expressions, and dialogues related to personal introductions, understanding and responding to simple questions, daily life, customer service, transportation, and other common communication situations. The course is offered fully online, providing flexibility and the ability to join from anywhere.

Minimum number of participants: 7, maximum: 14.

Tuition Fees:               €840, including all teaching materials.

Please note that a 10% discount is offered to University of Cyprus students and/or alumni, provided that a minimum number of 7 registered participants is met.

Tuition fees are payable in three (3) instalments.

Upon successful completion of the programme, participants receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Tuition Fees: 840 euros, in the total cost.  The teaching material is included. A reduction of 10% is granted for UCY students provided that the minimum number of enrolments is 7 participants. Payment is made in 2 instalments. The participants in addition to the UCY Certificate they will receive for successfully completing the program, will also be prepared to take if they wish the ISTANBUL exam for the intermediate level B2.

Prerequisite: Turkish Intermediate Level B2

Tuition Fees: €880, which includes the teaching material. A 10% discount is offered to UCY students, provided that the minimum number of enrolments is 7 participants. Payment is made in two installments.

Who can register:
This course is intended for advanced learners and corresponds to Level C1 of the CEFR for the Turkish language. It is aimed at individuals who have successfully completed TUR B2 or possess an equivalent level of proficiency.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:

• Understand lengthy and complex texts, including implied meanings

• Express themselves fluently, spontaneously, and without much effort in searching for words

• Use the Turkish language effectively in social, academic, and professional contexts

• Produce clear, well-structured, and detailed written texts on complex topics

• Engage in discussions on topics such as economics, politics, society, and culture based on magazine and newspaper articles

• Translate texts from Turkish to Greek with accuracy

• Formulate and defend their opinions clearly

In addition to the Certificate of Completion awarded at the end of the course, participants will also be prepared for recognized certification exams, such as TÖMER and/or the C1-level exams of Istanbul University.

Important:
Individuals holding a B2 Certificate (TÖMER or Istanbul) or who have completed the B2 Programme at the Language Centre are exempt from the placement test. Copies of the certificates and transcript must be submitted electronically to [email protected] immediately after completing registration.

Information regarding the placement test (date/time) will be sent via personal email to participants who do not possess the required certificates.
The cost of the placement test is €30, payable in advance to the bank account listed above. Proof of payment must be sent to [email protected] on the day of the test. If you are accepted into the programme, the test fee will be deducted from the total registration fee.
