January 10, 2024The Engineering School congratulates its 15 faculty members for their outstanding work, which is internationally distinguished and recognized by their inclusion in the top scientists worldwide according to the 2023 Stanford's list. This list is annually published by Stanford University in the United States and evaluates the performance of all academics globally based on their research results and their publication citations.
The Stanford's list includes the top 100,000 scientists globally from all scientific fields, as well as the top 2% in their scientific subfield who have published at least five articles in the current year.
The ranking of the world's top scientists for 2023 is based on measurable indicators focusing on the impact of their published work throughout their academic careers, specifically on the citations received by their publications, as reported in the Scopus database. The evaluation of research performance indicators is conducted for more than 8,000,000 scientists. The ranking presented under the title "Data for updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators" assesses researchers' performance by categorizing them into 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields.
