November 11, 2024TWIN4MERIT Members from UCY to Present at the 2024 Conference “Gender and Research Assessment: Proposing a Move from ‘Responsible’ to ‘Responsive’”
We are delighted to announce that two esteemed members of our TWIN4MERIT partner institution, the University of Cyprus (UCY), will be presenting at the upcoming 2024 Conference titled “Gender and Research Assessment: Proposing a Move from ‘Responsible’ to ‘Responsive’.”
Associate Professor Alexia Panayiotou and Research Associate Dr Kyriaki Kourra will lead a session on Monday, 28th October 2024, from 12:00 to 13:30 PM (UTC+01:00). The event will take place at Room 14.01.11 – Buero Vallejo, Building 14 – Concepción Arenal, School of Humanities, Communication, and Library Science, on the Getafe Campus of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M).
The session will be opened by Professor Dr Eva María Blázquez Agudo, Vice-Rector for Institutional Relations, Culture, and Equality at UC3M, and a valued member of the TWIN4MERIT UC3M team. Her welcoming address will set the tone for this crucial discussion on moving research assessment from being merely ‘responsible’ to becoming truly ‘responsive’, particularly in terms of gender.
The conference will explore the significant role gender plays in research assessment practices and how a more responsive framework can help advance gender equality within research institutions.
For those unable to attend in person, we are pleased to inform you that the event will also be livestreamed, ensuring wide accessibility to this important conversation.
